5 Ideas to Include in the Teamraiser Participant Toolkit
A well-rounded peer-to-peer fundraising program includes strategy not only for recruitment but cultivation. Fundraisers should feel motivated and supported to raise money for your organization. This includes having information readily available on the site without having to contact your organization – saving time for both you and the fundraiser. In this post, we’ll cover five ideas to include in your Teamraiser Participant toolkit.
1. Use a Webpage
Instead of using a long PDF to share tips and tricks for fundraisers, create a webpage. This is easier to navigate for fundraisers and for your organization to update if any information changes. See one in action here that we helped our client Can Do MS build for their Ski for MS TeamRaiser event.
2. Include FAQ with Sections
Group the FAQ into sections that are easier to find the information. This can include sections such as Registration Questions, Donation Questions, Fundraising Questions, Participant Center Questions, etc. Think of the kinds of questions you receive on a regular basis and include those on the page.
3. Create Shareable Content
Include social graphics such as story templates and images that fundraisers can easily download or copy and paste and share on social, in an email, or via text. Also, consider including sample text they can share.
4. Add Videos
Videos are a powerful tool. Consider adding short-form mission videos that participants can share, this can be videos already created on your YouTube page. You may also want to consider how-to videos specific for participants such as how to upload an image on their page or how to update their fundraising goal.
5. Don’t Forget Offline Fundraising
There are still fundraisers that may want to collect donations offline. Provide them with instructions on where to send their donations. You may also consider a link on the fundraising page and donation form that automatically links to an offline donation form with the fundraiser’s and donor’s information needed to process the gift.
