We are so excited to announce that Doing Good Digital has made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for 2024! Our digital agency for nonprofits ranked #3202 overall and landed at #172 for the LA area, #372 in business products and services nationally, and ranked #443 in California.

We could not have imagined this type of growth when we started this company in 2018 out of our ground floor work / live studio apartment in Santa Monica. We cashed in our retirement savings, hired our first full-time employee, and hit the phones! We had about an 8-month runway to turn our business plan into reality. Luckily, we signed our first client through a word-of-mouth referral from a friend in Toronto.

Slowly, but surely – we added another client.

And then another one. 

And then a couple more!

Paul and I looked at each other and thought – ohhhh boy.

This is going to work!!! 

By the end of our first year – we had signed our 30th client! We worked around the clock, ate A LOT of frozen food and salad kits from Trader Joe’s, and charged BIRD scooters on our balcony to stretch out our financial runway. 

We slowly started to add more clients and brought on more transformative team members that took Doing Good Digital to the next level of growth via their leadership, excellent customer service, and innovation. We evolved from primarily consulting on nonprofit tech into digital strategy and grateful patient strategy. 

Doing Good Digital is now a full-time team of 15 people across Canada and the USA. We also have an amazing team of part-time employees, freelancers, and fractional C suite consultants that support us.

Along the way, we figured out how payroll, health insurance, and HR in two countries (and one US territory!) worked. We finally stopped winging it on the business side and implemented Traction as our business operating system and Profit First for our financial benchmarks. Building an incredible company culture was also top of mind and we wanted to fill it with people we and our clients would love working with. 

Our goal was simple. Doing Good Digital was created to help nonprofits raise more money. We do this by striving to be the best digital marketers and technologists in the sector while also creating one of the best places to work. It is truly the passionate, creative, and hardworking individuals that make this agency what it is today. Every client we take on is a team effort, and this recognition is a reflection of the dedication and heart that each person brings to their work every day.

We are incredibly thankful, and grateful for our team who we learn and grow with everyday, our clients who put their trust into us, our partners who refer us, and our friends and family members who have cheered us on along the way.
